Retire In Mauritius
THE POPULATION OF MAURITIUS IS RENOWED FOR THEIR WARM HOSPITALTY TO FOREIGNERS
Non-citizens aged 50 or more are welcomed to retire in Mauritius in a socially stable and peaceful environment either by living in any property of their choice or investing in a residential care home. Similar to many countries, Mauritius also has an ageing population, making mingling with locals in similar age groups even easier.
Retired Non-Citizen Scheme
This scheme is aimed at those aged 50 or more and on a monthly income of at least USD1,500 from overseas. This renewable Residence Permit is valid for 10 years and after 3 years, subject to conditions, a 20-year Permanent Residence can be obtained.
Senior Living Residence Scheme
This scheme is open at those aged 50 or more upon investing in a residential home for senior living either by acquiring a residential unit or the life rights of the unit in an approved project. There is no minimum acquisition price and the permit is valid until such time the property is no longer owned or occupied by the retiree.
