Live in Mauritius
Mauritius is blessed with a warm weather for most parts of the year allowing anyone to enjoy its pristine beaches and exquisite nature. The island has a diverse, peaceful and multicultural population renowned for its warm hospitality, making it an enviable place for non-citizens to relocate as professionals or investors or retirees.
Premium Visa
Visitors may qualify for the renewable one year Premium Visa by producing their proof of long stay plans and sufficient travel & health insurance for the initial period of stay while meeting the following criteria:
- Applicants not to enter the Mauritius Labour market;
- Main place of business and source of income & profits should be outside Mauritius;
- Documentary evidence to support application such as purpose of visit, accommodation etc.; and
- Other basic immigration requirements.
Acquire in Mauritius
Available to non-citizens upon acquisition of property within one of the following schemes:
1. Minimum investment amount: MUR 6 million
- Ground + 2 Apartments in a complex
2. Minimum investment amount: USD 375,000
- Integrated Resort Scheme (IRS),
- Real Estate Scheme (RES),
- Property Development Scheme (PDS),
- Invest Hotel Scheme,
- Smart City Scheme
This permit remains valid until the property is sold.
Permanent Residence Permit (PRP)
This is a renewable 20-year residency available to expatriates (including dependents) seeking to work and live freely in Mauritius and make it their second home.
Applications are welcomed from investors, retirees, professionals, self-employed entrepreneurs, and their family based on the following criteria:
- Stayed in Mauritius for 3 years already; and
- Achieving a certain income level for existing visa category – Investor, Retirees, Professional and Self employed.
Long Stay Visa
Available to a non-citizen who has acquired an apartment in a complex comprising a building of at least two floors above ground floor (G+2), located outside of approved residential schemes (see “Acquire in Mauritius”), for a price exceeding USD 500,000 or its equivalent in any convertible currencies.
A long stay visa allows a non-citizen and his dependents to stay for a consecutive period of 10 years, renewable depending on the status of ownership. It remains valid until the apartment is sold.
